People search Myers Park for homes for sale, not for a description, so this page starts with the market: the $1.25M typical sale on about 180 homes a year, the tax bill at that price, the eight-minute drive to Uptown, the 1911 plan that fixed the street grid, and the trade-off.
Myers Park and Eastover share ZIP 28207, three miles south-east of Uptown Charlotte. The typical sale there was $1.25M on about 180 homes a year, the highest price and the smallest count of the six areas we compare. It is inside the city, so the property tax is Charlotte's 76.68¢ per $100 of assessed value: $9,585 a year on the typical sale, $5,751 on $750,000, $7,668 on $1,000,000.
The drive is the shortest on the hub: 8 minutes to Uptown and 21 to the airport on a free-flow map estimate. Myers Park is a National Register historic district planned in 1911 by John Nolen; the housing is pre-war and what gets built is infill, one lot at a time. That is the trade-off, and the reason for the price.

National Park Service, NRIS 87000655 · Mecklenburg County FY2025-26 Jurisdiction Tax Rate Chart · Mecklenburg County Assessor, revaluation · Redfin, Jun 2025–May 2026.
For FY2025-26 Mecklenburg County charges 49.27¢ per $100 of assessed value and the City of Charlotte 27.41¢, 76.68¢ combined. Rate × assessed value ÷ 100, at the prices this ZIP actually trades at:
| Assessed value | County 49.27¢ | City 27.41¢ | Combined 76.68¢ |
|---|---|---|---|
| $750,000 | $3,695 | $2,056 | $5,751 |
| $1,000,000 | $4,927 | $2,741 | $7,668 |
| $1,250,000, the typical sale | $6,159 | $3,426 | $9,585 |
| $1,500,000 | $7,391 | $4,112 | $11,502 |
Add the city's $120.30 curbside solid-waste fee and $30 per vehicle, both on the same chart; stormwater is a separate line that depends on the parcel's impervious area, which on a large older lot is worth asking about. The calendar: the county's FY2027 rate was adopted unchanged at 49.27¢ on 2 June 2026; Charlotte's council adopted a 1.89¢ increase in its FY2027 budget on 8 June 2026, per WSOC, so the city half is about 1.89¢ higher this year, roughly $236 more on $1.25M, though the city did not state the resulting rate on a readable page. Then the revaluation: Mecklenburg reappraises in 2027, and in a district where values are set by a fixed supply, the gap between the current assessment and the price you paid is worth measuring before you close.

From Queens Road at Providence Road it is 3.4 miles and about 8 minutes to Trade and Tryon, and 9.7 miles and about 21 minutes to the Charlotte Douglas terminal, on a free-flow routing run on 12 October 2026. There is no interstate to join and no ring road to reach; Providence, Queens and Kings Drive run straight into the centre, which is the whole argument for the price.
Because the drive is city streets, the peak-hour penalty is traffic lights rather than an interstate merge, and it is the one area on the hub where the off-peak floor and the 8 a.m. number are close. No published point-to-point peak matrix exists; CRTPO maps tract-average commutes, most in the 21-to-30-minute band, and 28207 sits well under that. For scale, Ballantyne is 26 minutes to both and Waxhaw 39 and 47.

About 180 in ZIP 28207, on Redfin's count from June 2025 to May 2026: roughly 15 a month, three or four a week, the smallest count of any ZIP on the hub. That is what a fixed supply looks like in practice: the house you want on the street you want comes up a few times a year, and the buyer who is ready when it does is the one who gets it. Ballantyne, for scale, moves about 950 a year; Waxhaw's ZIP about 1,000.
This is also why what is listed right now matters more here than anywhere else on the hub. The firm's listings in this price band will sit on this page once they are cleared to show; until then the search above is the live view.

Yes. Myers Park Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on 10 August 1987 (NRIS 87000655), planned by John Nolen in 1911 and extended by E.S. Draper, with a period of significance of 1900 to 1974 and a boundary that runs roughly along NC-16, East and West Queens Road and Lillington Avenue. A National Register listing is a recognition; check separately whether a parcel sits in a Charlotte local historic district before planning exterior changes.
Not as a community. The housing stock is pre-war and what gets built is infill, one lot at a time, usually on a lot that already had a house on it. We found no large new for-sale community in 28207 on a readable builder page. For new communities, the volume is in Waxhaw and Marvin, around Lake Norman and in Mint Hill.
